Celebrating 25 Years of the Office for Science and Society

In 25 years, the Office for Science and Society (OSS) at McGill University has achieved remarkable milestones in science communication. On Thursday, May 23, 2024, journalist Josh Freed will have an exciting conversation with Dr. Joe Schwarcz, Director of the OSS, about its origins and accomplishments. The event will be held at the Otto Maass Chemistry Building at McGill University, located at 801 Sherbrooke Street, at the corner of Sherbrooke and University.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 PM followed by the main event at 7 PM. Attendees can expect engaging discussions on the fun and challenges faced by the OSS over the past quarter-century. There will also be entertaining demonstrations to showcase the unique approach taken by the OSS in science communication.
