Stealing with Smooth Skill: Thief Nabbed for Bagel Time Heist in Miami Beach

Suspect taken into custody for stealing tip jar from Miami Beach establishment

On Wednesday, Jeffrey Lewis Scott, 33, was arrested in Miami Beach for stealing money from the tip jar at a local business. According to Local 10 News, the arrest was made after police identified Scott as the individual caught on surveillance video taking cash from Bagel Time Cafe on Alton Road.

This wasn’t the first time that Bagel Time had made headlines. In the past, the business had been targeted by someone who took down an Israeli flag hanging outside and stomped on it multiple times. However, this time the thief was after something different – cash. The owner of Bagel Time, Josh Nodel, described the theft as “smooth as butter.” The thief pretended to order a bagel and then took money from the tip jar where larger bills were kept.

As of Thursday morning, Scott was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $2,500 bond. The investigation into the incident is ongoing and further details are yet to be released by local authorities.
