Small Businesses in the Spotlight at Safford’s Community Event

Limited seats remaining for Spotlight on Small Business

The Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is just around the corner, with seats quickly filling up. Taking place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1, this event presents an excellent opportunity for small business owners and operators to connect with city officials, including Mayor Richard Ortega and City Manager John Cassella, to discuss ways to support and enhance the success of small businesses in Safford.

Small business owners will have the chance to learn about various topics related to their businesses. They will get insights into business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, and new beneficial ownership reporting requirements from the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS. Mayor Ortega encourages both new and established small business owners to attend as there may be new information they can glean from the event.

The event will commence with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 am, followed by a 90-minute program starting at 7:30 am. The best part? It’s entirely free to attend! However, seats must be reserved in advance through the City of Safford Spotlight on Business Breakfast Tickets event page on Eventbrite. This event is sponsored by the City of Safford, Graham County Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and Safford Downtown Association.

Small business owners looking for valuable insights into their operations should not miss this exciting opportunity to meet with city officials and other entrepreneurs in their community.
