New Cancer Center Opened by Franciscan Health in West Central Indiana

The Franciscan Health Cancer Center Lafayette, located in Tippecanoe County, has now opened its doors and is accepting patients. This comprehensive cancer center offers a range of services including screenings, diagnostics, and treatments all under one convenient roof.

Terry Wilson, the president and CEO of Franciscan Health Western Indiana, emphasized the importance of the new building and updated technology in providing top-notch care to cancer patients in the community. With a $43 million investment, the three-story, 68,000-square-foot facility is now operational.

Maria Vought, the director of the oncology service line at the center, highlighted the impact of reducing travel time for patients, making cancer services more accessible. Being able to receive treatment locally also allows patients to maintain closer connections with their families during their care. In addition to medical services, the center offers support services such as financial aid, transportation assistance, and case management for patients in need.
