Richmond Raceway Weekend Schedule for NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series

On the weekend of June 12-14, two national NASCAR series will be in action at Richmond Raceway. First up on Friday is the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, followed by Xfinity Series practice from 12-5 p.m. for Cup Series teams and 4-9 p.m. for Xfinity Series teams. Meanwhile, the Cup teams will practice and qualify on Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s primetime race.

Chandler Smith won last season’s Xfinity race at Richmond, while Kyle Larson won last season’s spring Cup race at Richmond. This year, Trackhouse Racing drivers Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain are looking to score the team’s second win of the season at Richmond this weekend.

The weather for the weekend is expected to be mostly sunny on Friday with a high of 67 degrees and a 4% chance of rain. Saturday will have cloudy skies with a high of 71 degrees, and a 4% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race. Finally, Sunday will have a high of 70 degrees and a 33% chance of rain at the start of the Cup race.

Ty Gibbs has been NASCAR’s most consistent driver this season, leading in points after five races in both series. The first driver to reach five wins in each series this season is sure to take home some hardware this weekend at Richmond Raceway!
