Exploring the World: Student Travel with e-flux Education

The IDSVA program is a unique institution that exists wherever its students and faculty are located. During recent residencies in Mexico City, Athens, and Marrakech, students shared their experiences and thoughts about the program.

One student, Maggie McKee, was particularly drawn to the structure of IDSVA as an international teacher. She appreciated that she could continue working during the program and be with her family while also having rich and intense learning opportunities during the course of three years. Another student, Monica Bryant, described IDSVA as the ideal PhD program due to its hybrid format of online coursework and global residencies.
