Da Vinci Science Center: Unlocking the Wonders of Science in Allentown

Opening Date Announced for Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown

In two years, the Da Vinci Science Center will open its doors in Allentown. Located at the PPL Pavilion, the center will offer interactive experiences for visitors. From exploring human anatomy to meeting North American River Otters in the Pocono Ravine, there will be plenty of hands-on activities to engage with. The center’s mission is to bring science to life and lives to science, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s insatiable curiosity.

The new 67,000-square foot facility at Eighth and Hamilton streets will feature exhibits, classrooms, laboratories and interactive workshops for visitors. The City Center Gallery, an 8,000-square foot space within the center, will host the first exhibit titled “Dinos Alive!”, focusing on dinosaurs. Executive Director and CEO Lin Erickson expressed excitement about welcoming the community to the Lehigh Valley’s premier science center.

The current location of the Da Vinci Science Center at Cedar Crest College will close on April 1st in preparation for the move to the new location. Tickets for the new center go on sale in mid-April. More information about the center and its offerings can be found on their website at davincisciencecenter.org.
